[Fakiru Week- Day Two] Mistake

"These are far from my best work, anyway. You did me a favor."

So yeah. Ahiru was carrying a bunch of Fakir's manuscripts and tripped. But he's trying to make her feel better about the whole thing. <3

The prompt was an interesting one... and left a lot of room for angst. But I believe I've told you guys- when I'm depressed, you get fluff. Only when I'm emotionally stable myself can I get the angst right.

Cutting this one a bit close, hmm? But it's still about 11:45 here, so nya~ I actually had this "finished" several hours ago but, as it turns out, absolutely hated it! So naturally I had to redo it. I'm much more satisfied with this one. Though I'm admittedly annoyed that I didn't have time to shade it. I may go back and do that later.

*whispers* ... I don't know how Ahiru's hair works. o.o (As if we couldn't all tell, Niao... >.>). To be fair, I've only drawn human!Ahiru once, and that was over a year ago. But I suppose I'm happy with how she turned out.

Fun fact: I'm so used to drawing characters with PAKs, I gave Fakir one out of habit. I was so amused by the error that it's still there, in the sketch. x'DDD

Remind me to use textures more often; they're so much fun! Someone needs to remind me to figure out how to make my own, for that matter. Both the textures that were used in this piece are by the amazing =Sirius-sdz.
